i think both of them are art because the person that create this have creativity and those things for me are interesting.
i like more the perfume because the bowl its atractive for me, and the bowl is original, the form of it and it wanna show us something special like the smell of the producto or something like that.
i think it is art because that is atractive the color, form, and because is for men.
if i will find it i want to buy it.

I like these pictures because they're interesting, with creative ideas, like the bag one, its very nice, comfortable, new, and an idea of innovation. For me this is not art because it does not try to express something, no feelings on it, just the wish of selling it and make money.
The second picture, the perfume, its cool and nice but as the same as the bag I think it does not express any feelings or wishes. It has a pretty cool shape, and I can imagine that it must have a wonderfull smell.

ReplyDeleteI would consider art the fact of the desing of these two products. They were done with sometihng in mind. Even tho they are comercial products the design started as a drawing that came out of someone's mind, so it is art.

I like the idea of the bag, because when i see it i see people in the world trying to make a change, to make it more green, to be able to recycle, and help the environment, the design its pretty modern and it makes you feel that you want to buy it.
The perfume also has a very modern design, when you see it, it catches your attention by the form that the perfume was made, it makes you feel like if you are in a new age, and all of the stuff are very original.
Both of them are art by the design and the originality that they made it

I think that the bag its a great idea, because it is innovator and original, and it also is ecologic, because the bags are made of recicled stuff, so the creation of this bags doesnt represents a problem for the enviroment.
Wich art means, I think that the bags are pieces of art, even if they´re not expensive or luxurious; they are different than other products in the market,
The bottle of perfume; I think that it is an innovator thing too, but, even if it's beautiful, sofisticated and modern, I don't think it is art, because it is an object that's made with an specific purpouse, it only contains perfume, and when it is empty,(at least for me), it becomes trash.
In conclusion; I think that the bag, as the bottle of perfume are modern, innovator and beautiful, but I only consider the bag as art.

ReplyDeleteI think that the perfume is a fantastic piece of art because, who made it think about what people likes, and I think that it is the more important part in a master piece because it evokes feelings.
When I saw the picture y thought “oh, I’m going to buy it for my dad or brothers, it’s a cool perfume”,that it’s a good aspect in a piece of art: something cool, awesome, estrange, one in it kind.
About the bag I think that is an awesome idea, because it encourages us for a greener world. “I gonna buy one”.

I think both of them are very attractive, original, creative and vey modern, but I don’t think that they can be art.
The perfume doesn’t make me feel something, I imagine it smells good and the form is very modern and originality, it’s very creative, it can be unique. But fist is just for men and is only a thing and there are many similar things, it has created with an intention, to do that you buy it.
The bag is so different for me, maybe because it can be used for woman but I don’t think that is art because like the perfume its just one thing and Though I like it, it isn’t art because for be art it has to make me feel something really special for it and I don’t feel something like that.

I think that both are pieces of art, they can be products to sell but they have to make to the client feel something that make them feel good and wish to buy it. Every piece have characteristics that make me say that they are art.
For example, the bag is originaly, pretty and it have a design with different colors that makes you feel comfortable and pacific.
The perfume its completely weird and it makes it especial and full of things that you can feel simply looking at it.
To be honest, I don't see where the art is.
ReplyDeleteBoth objects are very creative, they are, but they hardly have an aesthetic value at all.
It does makes you feel something, as my classmates mentioned, but that feeling is the desire to get one, not so much an evocated emotion.
Let's see. The perfume bottle is going to be shown at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. It's supposed to evoke a feeling of sensuality by touching it. Does it? In my personal opinion, I don't think so. To me it's just an attractive bottle of perfume.
The bag is an ecological design, made of recycled billboards. It's... Cute, I guess.
Yet, both do nothing but to sell themselves. It's marketing techniques. They want you to want them, so by using different and new presentations they're catching more your attention.
I'll make a clear and simple explanation of why this is not art:
For me, to be art, there NEEDS to be an intention. If there's a billboard-made white bag, why white? Why billboards? If there's a brown curved perfume bottle, why there? What's it doing there?
If there's no intention, there's no artwork.

And talking about the perfume i think the same. the perfume is not art for me but your comment is good.
First at all, I like both ideas because they are really original and really cool. From my point of view I think it could be considerate like art for a lot of people, principally the perfume, because it calls more the attention, and compared with the rest of perfume’s bottles is so different, even the design that tries to take the form of your hand and make it easy and comfortable for the men who used it.
ReplyDeleteHowever, if we considerate to Sartre to make a critic we can say that the bag is not art. It becomes to be just a craft, may be an interesting one, but not art. He may describe it just like a piece of recycle stuff, designed with originality but nothing else. I think he could think the same about the perfume, but I’m just supposing.
Instead, if we resort to Ingarden’s opinion, we can have a very different one. May be he could think that both of things could be art, just by the fact that the author or artist wanted to transmit something, but I think it is mostly the case of the perfume’s bottle, because it transmits a most specifically point like the ease that the men is looking for, or the vanguard of the product. For my part, I think Ingarden will ask to the bag’s author what he was thinking, or what he though when he created it, and then can make a hypothesis, but like with Sartre I’m just supposing.
Now, What I think about it? Well, for me both of images are very good expressions, but I just consider the perfume’s bottle like art, because it transmits elegancy, beauty, etc. it transmits me something, but I can’t say that the bag don’t do it, I really like the idea or a deep message of the green planet, but I think the author don’t make it thinking and make an artwork, he or she just did it like an accessory or a very good craft that could be helping the planet.
